Georgian Reading Challenge 2019

The Georgian Reading Challenge is hosted at Becky’s Book Reviews. It’s a pretty low-key reading challenge, with a goal of four books, fiction or non-fiction, related to the Georgian era (I’m using the 1714-1830 period – sorry, William IV). The books from my Classics Club list that qualify are:

  • Pamela by Samuel Richardson
  • The Life of Samuel Johnson by James Boswell
  • A Vindication of the Rights of Woman by Mary Wollstonecraft
  • Corrine by Germaine De Staël
  • Tales from Shakespeare by Charles & Mary Lamb
  • Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
  • Nutcracker and Mouse-King by E.T.A. Hoffmann
  • Confessions of an English Opium Eater by Thomas De Quincey
